This calculator is based on:

1 Sale (payment processing) 4% plus 20p

2 VAT on payment processing

3 Transaction fee 5% of item price

4 VAT on Transaction fee

5 Transaction shipping 6.5% of shipping charged

6 VAT on shipping transaction fee

7 Autorenew sold (if applicable) 20c (approx 15 – 16 p)

8 VAT on renew fee

Altogether, these fees amount to 10.8% plus 43p

The fixed 43p is a larger percentage of low priced items than of higher priced items

On top of this, if you have Etsy Offsite ads running you may also get an EOA fee if Etsy determine the sale came from one of these ads.

If you make over $10,000 a year (about £7,200) these are mandatory and charged at 12% plus VAT (14.4%)

If under this threshold they are optional but charged at 15% plus VAT (18%)

After July 1st there will be the ROF fee of 0.25% plus VAT, making the total fees payable on an order  11.1% plus 43p
