Safetoy was developed and founded in 2021 by Eamonn & Rosie Burns from RoRCrafts (Ring o Rosie Crafts) with the aim to provide clear, simple and free access to all the information needed to correctly safety test and successfully bring a wooden toy to market.
We’ve been part of a toy making collective since late 2018 when we became involved in toy making and started developing our own paint brand – which was then launched in early 2020.
During that time we saw hundreds of people taken advantage of to buy expensive or out of touch guides in hope that they could correctly test their toy to ensure it was safe for children.
Not content with this we started to work on and develop the idea of a free for all, one stop shop for makers to come to get reliable and direct help with their toy testing.
What We Do
We network with other leading toy makers and creators in the toy world and scour through all the technical documentations related to toy safety and legislation – we then collaborate with MTS to develop straightforward and relevant guides taking out the guess work and stress of toy safety.
