It all started as a hobby. I was painting peg dolls for my own children and friends and found that more and more people wanted to buy them!
I started out working on a desk in my bedroom, (much to my husbands despair) but we have grown and now have a dedicated unit…. and I have a happier husband!

Our business name was chosen by my wonderful mum, I love the play on words and it always reminds me of her.

Being a painter myself I wanted to offer more than what was on the current market, with a background in supplier management I started to investigate what I could source to give my painting an edge and the more I sourced the more other painters asked me to share with them, and that’s where the business took a turn from painting to supplying!

I’m a big believer in toy safety. Testing wooden toys and especially peg dolls can seem daunting and confusing so having blanks that are all tested to En71-1 seemed like the right thing to do to encourage more makers to safety test and to be assured that the items where were purchasing where safe. Having them independently lab tested to this standard means they don’t have to do it themselves, which saves a lot of stress when starting out, and also time, meaning painters could concentrate more on what they wanted to do….. paint, and only have a few simple tests to complete once they had designed a new item.

I love to be different, I want to source new and exciting products. Everyone has their trusty favourites but I love to push the boundaries of creativity! I’m a huge, huge advocate for good customer service to!

Our customer base consists of people of all ages and experience and we are always on hand to help out, so now it’s even easier to just pick up the brush and have a go!
